But I’m going to let you in on a little secret …
There’s more to Greece than meets the eye! We’ll talk about that in a minute. But first, a little background.
Why Visit Greece?
Greece is surrounded by water — the Aegean Sea and the Ionian Sea. Popular for its clean beaches and its rich history, Greece truly offers beauty and culture beyond your wildest imagination. Visit hundreds of archaeological sites and marvel at the mountainous landscape.
Greece is made up of more than 1,400 islands .. and only 169 of them are inhabited. Wow.
Whether you’re up for a day of hiking, or you’re looking for a relaxing vacation, there’s something for everyone in all these islands. it would take us forever to talk about all the islands in this one post, so today let’s focus on the Cyclades.

Mykonos Island
Mykonos is most known for its summer party vibe. Platis Gialos Beach, in the southern part of the island, is the most popular — and the most crowded — beach of Mykonos. And for good reason.
Beaches
Accessible by bus and by boat, its warm white sand and deep turquoise waters attract visitors from all four corners of the island. If you’re feeling adventurous, hop on a boat and cruise to any one of the other southern beaches of Paraga, Agrari, Elia, Paradise and Super Paradise.
Nightlife
Just follow the sound of music to find the many bars lining both Paradise and Super Paradise beaches. Party ’til the sun comes up at any one of the huge dance clubs — many of which attract world-renowned DJs.
